Asteroid Deflection
Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHA)
Definition: All asteroids with a minimum orbit intersection distance (MOID) ≤0.05 AU and an absolute magnitude (H) ≤ 22.0.
As of May 2024, there are 2410 PHAs.

KI and IBD have similar overall performance envelopes.
However, IBD has:
No risk of asteroid disruption
Higher impact speeds (70 km/s vs 15 km/s)
Force that can be applied in the most effective direction
